Michael Nielsen is a civilian Law Enforcement instructor for the LEOSA 50 State Retired LE Carry course of fire (HR 218). His credential to issue the LEOSA certification is NRA Pistol Instructor, however, his education and live fire experience far exceeds just a piece of paper. Having studied under many nationally recognized firearms professionals in over 450 hours of basic and advanced courses, he takes the carrying and employment of firearms for defensive purposes very seriously. He is a Master Glock Professional shooter with GSSF, a Glock and AR15 armorer and on a typical year, will certify 500 people to safely and confidently carry a firearm in the state of Minnesota. He has been teaching professionally since 2006 and has trained all levels of shooters in the use of force and pistol and defensive techniques including City, State and Federal active and retired Law Enforcement professionals, active and retired Military shooters.
The LEOSA course as taught by Mike includes not just the basic course of fire but most importantly: PROFESSIONAL FEEDBACK on the individual shooter's techniques and practices. The course fee is $50 and range time is approximately 45 minutes and will include all paperwork necessary for your credential immediately after the qual.
